Monthly Meeting Guest Speaker

Alon Shalev, author of “The Accidental Activist,” will speak to Fremont Area Writers on Saturday, May 26. Born in England, he has been a political activist since his teens and works to highlight social and political injustice through his writing. “The Accidental Activist” is a political courtroom novel about two young activists challenging a multi-national corporation using a new tool—the Internet. His other books include “A Gardener’s Tale,” now out in e-book format and soon to be in print, and “Wycaan Master,” a young adult fantasy novel. “In a writing workshop, I once heard the phrase: transformational fiction.
